Introducing my newest design, a quick release clothes hanger! This model requires no supports and it is print in place.
Yes, it's over over engineered. However, it works as perfectly when used correctly, and it's also a perfect gift for your fellow engineer.
No more breaking hangers because of tight clothing! Perfect for traveling, home use, and anywhere else.

Description
This design features a print in place mechanism that allows for a press release feature that drops your clothes into your hand. Simply take the model off the printer, and put a shirt, hoodie, or jacket on the hanger. There are two print profiles, the first one is for lighter clothing like shirts, hoodies, and quarter zips; the second one is for heavier clothing like jackets.
To release your clothes, press the two surfaces together as shown below:
To open the hanger back up, move the arms to the open position while simultaneously pushing the lock up with your thumbs.
*ALTERNATIVE WAY WITH ONE HAND: Push the lock up while pushing the top surface down.

This design is not meant to hold clothing that is too heavy, please ask if you have any questions before leaving a negative review. PLA is recommended
