Volvo V40 Rear Window Louvers

So… I may have accidentally started modifying my Volvo V40 again.

These are rear window louvers designed for the V40’s rear quarter window. And before anyone asks — no, they don’t add horsepower, they don’t improve performance, and they definitely won’t make the car faster.

They’re purely for looks.

The idea was just to give the side of the car a slightly more aggressive, custom look without doing anything permanent.

Installation

Fitting them is really straightforward:

1. Clean the glass properly so there’s no dirt or wax.
2. Apply Tiger Seal (aka the famous Mansory glue) to the back.
3. Line them up with the window.
4. Press them on and let the adhesive cure.

If you don’t want to use adhesive, you can also use strong double-sided 3M tape — the same stuff commonly used to stick number plates on. That works perfectly too and makes them easier to remove later.

No drilling. No permanent modification to the car.

Finishing

After printing, I sanded them down and painted them to remove the stepped layer lines. Once they’re finished and installed, you honestly can’t tell they were 3D printed — they look like proper molded parts.
