Air Vent Glass Riser | Window Vent Cover Clip

This window vent slot cover simply clips into the window vent slot and covers it neatly. The clip ensures a secure hold without any glue or screws.
The model is designed for quick and easy production with a 3D printer.

Material Recommendation

PETG is explicitly recommended, as the component is frequently exposed to temperature fluctuations and UV radiation.
Compared to PLA, PETG is significantly more resistant to heat, cold, and sunlight and is therefore better suited for this purpose.

Print Recommendation

• Layer height: 0.2 mm
• Material: PETG recommended
  (PLA also works, but is less UV resistant)
• Print orientation: upright
• Supports: recommended

The upright print orientation ensures more stable clip structures and better load-bearing capacity.

The key dimensions of the clip are:

• Total width of the clip noses (outer dimension): 25 mm (2.5 cm)
• Total nose length: approx 7.5 mm
• Distance between wall and nose elevation: approx 3.5 mm
• Total length of the component: approx 38 mm
• Total width of the component: approx 12.5 mm
• Total height of the component: approx 15 mm

These dimensions fit the window vent slot I used. Depending on the window, dimensions may vary slightly.

Adjustments

If your window requires different dimensions, the model can be easily adjusted in CAD.

Alternatively, feel free to leave a comment under the model if you need a different size.
