Description

William the Troll | LOTR Series

A massive figure from the wild lands of Middle-earth — William the Troll is one of the three trolls encountered by Bilbo Baggins and the Company of Thorin Oakenshield during their early journey.

This sculpt captures William in a heavy, lumbering stance, one arm reaching forward as if searching for his next unfortunate meal. His thick anatomy, rough skin textures, and powerful silhouette emphasize the raw physical strength typical of trolls.

Designed as a display model, the piece focuses on presence and character rather than fast movement.

🕯️ Lore Insight

William was one of three trolls who roamed the lands east of the Shire.

Together with Bert and Tom, he hunted travelers and unsuspecting wanderers. Though strong and dangerous, the trolls were not known for their intelligence — something Bilbo Baggins cleverly used against them.

They represent:

  • The brutal creatures of the wild
  • The dangers of Middle-earth's untamed lands
  • The early trials faced by Bilbo on his journey

By sunrise, their fate was sealed.
