Knight’s Helm Puzzle – 9 Piece Interlocking Model
Print Profile(1)

Description
This knight’s helm puzzle is a compact interlocking model made from 9 unique pieces that come together to form a detailed medieval helmet. Each piece slides into place from a different direction, gradually revealing the full shape as the puzzle is assembled. Once complete, it becomes a sturdy display piece that works well as a small desk ornament or shelf decoration.

As the pieces come together, the geometry of the helmet naturally locks the model into its final form. It’s meant to feel like assembling a miniature artifact, where the process of figuring it out is just as enjoyable as the finished result.
This design is also part of a personal challenge I’m doing for the year 2026: designing and releasing a brand new 3D printable model every single day for an entire year. Each design will explore a different idea—some practical, some playful, some reflective. If you enjoy following creative processes, testing new designs, or simply watching ideas turn into physical objects, feel free to follow along and join me on this 365-day journey.
