IKEA ALFTA Alternative Hook (Uses Original Strips)
What's cheaper than buying IKEA's plastic? Just buying the strips and printing the hooks yourself! With this design you can simply get the cheap tape strips and still hang those pictures without puncturing your wall! And it even includes a smaller version for small and light frames!
Use the Slim Version for any light and small frames
Use the “normal” thick Version for anything that needs a bit more support. Or if you're afraid!
Installation Instructions
- Print the hook.
- Clean your wall surface.
- Apply the IKEA adhesive strip to the back of the printed hook, use 2 strips on the wider version.
- Press firmly against the wall for 5-10 seconds.
- Wait at least 1 hour before hanging the frame to allow the adhesive to bond.
IKEA says that 2 adhesive strips are fine for 2kg of load. Use at your own risk!
