Boost Me (for free)

If you like this rearing stallion, hit it with a Boost šŸ“šŸ”„
Boosts help my models get seen and keep the drops coming. Appreciate you.

A dramatic Clydesdale rearing horse posed like a mythic war-steed, planted on a scenic rocky base. This one’s all about silhouette and anatomy — big chest, tense forelegs, and flowing mane/tail that reads great in a single color (bone/marble) and looks even nastier with paint or a light wash + drybrush.

If you want a centerpiece print that actually looks like you tried… this is it.

Printing Notes (FDM)

This is a tall, forward-leaning pose — don’t fight physics. Print it like you want it to succeed.

Recommended settings

  • Nozzle: 0.4mm
  • Layer height: 0.16 adaptive (turning off adaptive reduces quality but decreases print time)
  • Walls: 3
  • Infill: 5% (Gyroid )
  • Ā

Supports (likely required)

  • Use Tree/Organic supports
  • Target support under:

    • Front legs / hooves
    • Chin / lower jaw (depending on angle)
    • Any small undercuts around the mane / chest

Stability tip

  • If your printer is prone to wobble on tall prints, slow it down a bit and use a brim. A rearing pose can turn into a failure late in the print if the whole thing starts vibrating.

Finishing (optional but looks insane)

  • Single-color ā€œstatue modeā€: bone/ivory filament + matte clear coat
  • Quick ā€œcheat codeā€ paint job:
    • Clear coat first then
      • Black/brown wash into recesses
      • Light drybrush on edges (mane + muscles pop immediately)
