Description

Very early on in my life I was diagnosed with an extremely severe peanut allergy, it will likely stay with me for my entire life. Last year I had a mild anaphalactic shock episode while traveling abroad. We had attemped to communicate with the food service provider that no peanuts can be used in the preperation of our food. We were assured that the food during our stay would be safe, but unfortunaly we had an incident which proved otherwise. In the end, it was only a minor episode, I am still alive and that is what counts.

If you like this project, feel free to leave me a boost. If you are unable, simply liking and following are also appreciated. Thank you!

I have designed this backpack tag in mind as a translation tool for kids and adults alike to use while traveling at home or abroad. It's features include:

  • Holes located around the perimeter for backpack buckles and straps to pass through to ensure that the badge is securely fastened to the backpack, bag, daypack you wish to carry.

  • The front of the tag contains a very obvious and high contrast “No Peanuts” diagram with a picture of a peanut in the shell as well as an unshelled peanut. The icon is intended to be large enough to be identified at a distance and stand out visually.

  • On the back of the design is the phrase “Allergy: Peanuts” translated into 8 different languages:
    • English
    • Spanish
    • Mandarin Chinese (Simplified)
    • Hindi
    • Japanese
    • French
    • German
    • Arabic

  • Three sizes are available in the file download:
    • Small (102mm) [0.2 mm nozzle recommended, I only have 0.4 mm]
    • Medium (136mm) [ok with 0.4]
    • Large (170mm) [ok with 0.4]

I hope you enjoy this small project of mine, I may make some more variants for other allergies if requested in the comments below.
