AGM-88G (AARGM-ER) Missile Replica
Print Profile(1)

Description
AGM-88G AARGM-ER
(Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile - Extended Range)
This is a detailed 1/4th scale display model of the AGM-88G AARGM-ER, the premier air-to-ground weapon system for the Suppression and Destruction of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD/DEAD).
Designed as the latest evolution of the HARM family, this model captures the unique, streamlined profile of the Extended Range variant. Unlike its predecessors, the AARGM-ER features a wingless fuselage and integrated strakes, a design choice specifically engineered to allow for internal carriage within the weapon bays of 5th-generation stealth platforms like the F-35 Lightning II.
The AARGM-ER offers a significant increase in range, speed, and survivability over its predecessors.
This model is intended for aviation enthusiasts, military historians, and collectors of modern scale ordnance.
Background Information
The AGM-88G AARGM-ER is a supersonic weapon system designed to identify, track, and neutralize enemy radar emitters, communication nodes, and mobile integrated air defense systems (IADS).

Development and Design:
Initiated by the U.S. Navy in 2016, the AARGM-ER program utilizes the existing guidance system and warhead of the AGM-88E, integrated into a completely redesigned airframe. This new 11.5-inch diameter (290 mm) rocket motor and airframe replace traditional mid-body wings with aerodynamic strakes and relocated control surfaces to low-drag tail surfaces. These modifications allow for twice the operational range of its predecessor and internal carriage on the F-35A and F-35C Lightning II.
Key Capabilities:
- Anti-Shutdown Technology: The guidance suite maintains a target lock even if enemy radar operators deactivate transmitters to evade detection.
- Multi-Mode Guidance: The system utilizes passive anti-radiation homing, GPS/INS coordinates, and an active Millimeter Wave (MMW) radar. Recent testing in 2026 has demonstrated its ability to navigate challenging flight profiles in GPS-denied environments.
- Extended Range: The dual-pulse solid rocket motor provides greater speed and approximately double the range of the AGM-88E.
- Platform Versatility: Beyond the F-35, integration is planned for the P-8 Poseidon, F-16 Fighting Falcon, and Eurofighter Typhoon.
- Global Deployment: In addition to the U.S. Navy and Air Force, the AARGM-ER has seen significant international adoption. Major foreign military sales have been approved for Australia, The Netherlands, and Finland, solidifying its role as a primary SEAD asset for allied nations.

Model Features
- Scale: This model is designed at approximately 1/4 scale (25%) of the actual missile. It can be scaled up or down in your slicer to suit your specific display requirements.
- Refined Geometry: Accurately replicates the distinctive side strakes and the revised tail control fin configuration unique to the "Extended Range" variant.
- Color Mapping: Parts have been pre-assigned colors to correspond with the real-world material components.
- Optimized Construction: The model is partitioned into sections to ensure ease of assembly.

Assembly Guide
- Adhesives: It is recommended to use Cyanoacrylate (CA) or a similar high-strength adhesive to secure the fuselage segments and control fins.
- Alignment: Ensure the four tail fins are aligned and inserted carefully into the fin slots in the fuselage.
- Customization: While the model is 25% scale, ensure your printer tolerances are maintained if scaling down further, particularly for the fin attachment points.
- The small indication pieces located on the top can either be printed in two for a realistic multi-color or as a single pieces for easier printing and assembly. Please select one of the Option 1 or Option 2 as in the diagram provided.
- The Color Indication Ring can be printed in other color as well. (Normal: Yellow for High Explosive, Red for Rocket Motor/Thermal)
- Tolerances: Due to variations in printer calibration (hole compensation), the fit may vary.
- Please assemble the model based on the drawings below:
