Description

Air powered high lift water pump.

 

Best printed in PETG which is aquarium safe, normal super glue is fine for assembly.

 

Note this does not provide a steady stream of water by design, it will pump in spurts, approximately 1 per second.

 

Need to move water from one aquarium to the one above without adding any pumps, this is the solution I have come up with.

Normal sponge filter type air lift pumps can only raise the water a few cm above the water level, this design will lift over a metre with only a standard 4mm air line.

 

Can cut a disc of foam sponge to insert into the bottom and prevent any fish or shrimp getting into the pump.

 

Easy assembly, multiple extension tubes to gain desired height, reliable design.

Very very cool way of moving water without using another pump. You could use it for (Very slow) filtration, for feeding fish dispensing medications, even for constant overflow water changes.
