Description
Buff Kirby / Muscular Kirby - Meme Figure (Optimized for High Quality)
Bring the super buff, gym-ready Kirby to your desk This figure is perfect for decorating, gifting, or simply bringing a smile to anyone who sees it
To ensure the facial and body details are flawless, I have optimized this profile by addressing the main printing challenges and dividing the project into two specific configurations
Printing Challenges and Solutions:
When printing figures with such organic shapes and complex overhangs, slicer settings are everything Here's what I adjusted for the figure to come out perfect and strong:
- Diagonal Orientation for Greater Strength: When using a 0.2 mm nozzle (specifically chosen to prioritize the finish and perfectly highlight muscle and vein details), I noticed that the figure was prone to breaking due to the horizontal direction of the layers My solution was to position the character at a diagonal angle This changes the direction of stress, reinforcing the internal structure of the part and making it much more solid
- "Snug" Supports: I used the Normal (Automatic) support type with the Snug style Thanks to the diagonal orientation and this support style, they perform their function perfectly without fusing with the part and are easily removed without the figure being at risk of breaking
Profile Settings (Separate Plates):
The model is designed for two distinct configurations, maximizing detail where it matters and saving time on the base I recommend using PLA for the best surface finish
1. Kirby Figure (Maximum Quality):
- Nozzle: 0.2 mm (Absolute priority to vein and muscle detail).
- Layer Height: 0.08 mm (High-quality profile) so that the body curves are incredibly smooth
- Infill: 10% (Gyroid Pattern).
- Supports: Enabled (Type: Normal Automatic | Style: Snug).
2. Figure Base:
- Nozzle: 0.4 mm
- Infill: 5% (Adaptive Cubic Pattern). Tip: This density is ideal if you wish to pause the print and add some internal weight to give the figure greater stability.
- Supports: No supports
- Finish: Ironing enabled to achieve a perfectly smooth and professional top surface
Note on printing: This model was originally sliced, printed, and tested using an Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro Keep in mind that optimal parameters such as speed, exact layer height, or temperatures may vary depending on your 3D printer's brand and model I recommend using my settings as a starting point and making the necessary adjustments in your slicer to get the best results on your machine
The one in the photo shows a dedication since it was a gift, but the uploaded model does not include it
