D6x2 mm Round Magnet (20PCS) - CA004

Description

This file is for a soldering jig to help hold a DC Barrel Jack. It is intended for use with a typical female power jack used for 6V, 9V, or 12V power supplies with a 5.5 x 2.1mm jack. It holds the jack at 45-degrees.

This jig is compatible with Gridfinity and fits a 1X x 1Y footprint. This is useful for holding the jig in place while in-use or for storage.

It also has gridfinity-spec magnet holes for optional use. These print with supports and can be removed or left-in as desired. These are useful for gridfinity magnet bases or for holding the jig in place by working on a metal/magnetic surface. The holes are sized at 6.2mm in the file, so depending on your printer tolerances and support removal you may need a dot of super glue or alternatively a clamp for press-fit. I needed glue on 2 and a clamp on 2… go figure. You'll want 4 of the 6mm x 2mm magnets if so.

This file prints as 2 components to minimize supports and also optimize the top portion for strength. These components should snap together and not need glue, but you can always add a drop of super glue if you want. Mine didn't need it.
