Meet Buddy – the loyal and lovable addition to the Scrub Buddy Holder collection 🐶
With his floppy ears, rounded paws and gentle expression, Buddy brings warmth and friendliness to your kitchen or bathroom. The integrated holder on top securely supports your Scrub Daddy while keeping it upright and ready to use.
The clean, compact design ensures stability on the counter while maintaining a cute and minimal look. The smooth sculpted surface and soft facial details make Buddy both functional and decorative.
Designed for everyday use, this holder keeps your sponge elevated for better airflow and quicker drying.
A built-in drainage system is integrated into the design: water from the sponge drains through the bottom and flows out through Buddy’s mouth. This helps prevent water buildup and keeps your sponge better ventilated between uses.
The model can safely be scaled up if desired. Downsizing is not recommended, as the internal dimensions are optimized to properly fit a standard Scrub Daddy sponge.
Important printing note:
If you don't use the bambustudio file, set supports to “build plate only”. Do not allow automatic supports everywhere, as supports may generate inside the drainage channel.

For my multicolour models: if you are printing with a single extruder printer, you may see a significant amount of filament waste. This is not caused by the model itself, but by the way colour changes work with this type of printing system.
If you want to reduce the waste, you can:
- print multiple copies of the same model on one plate
- print several models from the same collection on one plate
- reduce the number of colours or print the model in a single colour

I design using tools like Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, Blender, Nomad Sculpt, Meshmixer and sometimes Tinkercad. Like most modern designers, I also use AI as one of the helping tools in my workflow.
