Second model in the series dedicated to the automotive lighting universe 🔧
This version is directly inspired by the iconic rectangular light covers found on many custom builds and racing vehicles.
Its more industrial and 'equipment part' design gives it an authentic workshop look. The black & white contrast reinforces the technical and racing aspect, perfect for a modern or vintage garage decor.
A rougher, more mechanical version, designed for enthusiasts.

About the lighting:
💡 For lighting, I use this complete LED kit, simple to install and perfectly suited to my models:
👉 LED strip kit 1.5 m – Neutral white (Leroy Merlin)
📦 For a clean and functional finish, I also designed a cable cover compatible with all my rear shells, available for download here:
✨ Tip: To improve light diffusion, I recommend adding a piece of aluminum adhesive tape to the bottom of the box. The result is more uniform and brighter
🧴 Assembly is done using contact glue, like Bison (available at Action).
🛠️ Tips for perfect adhesion in 3D printing:
Carefully clean your build plate before each print. Grease residues, dust, or fingerprints can impair adhesion and cause detachments.
Check the build plate calibration: a well-leveled build plate ensures a uniform and well-adhered first layer.
Use an appropriate adhesion surface: depending on your material, apply a thin layer of glue stick, an adhesive spray, or a specific tape (e.g., Kapton, BuildTak).
Correctly set the build plate temperature to promote adhesion depending on the material used (PLA, ABS, PETG, etc.).
Reduce the print speed of the first layer: a slower speed allows for better filament adhesion to the build plate.
Provide a « skirt » or a « brim » in your slicer to stabilize the first layer and limit warping.
