Double Stack 1911 / 2011 Magazine Baseplate (+0)
Print Profile(1)

Description
Upgrade your Double Stack 1911 / 2011 with this custom-designed extended magazine baseplate. Originally modeled for the Tisas Duty 9 DS Comp, this design strictly improves ergonomics, grip purchase, and handling. It does not increase the magazine's ammunition capacity (+0).
Features:
- Extensive 2011 Platform Compatibility: Designed specifically to fit the factory Checkmate magazines included with the Tisas Duty 9 DS Comp and the MAC 9 DS Comp (which share the same core architecture). Because it is built around the standard Checkmate 2011 magazine tube geometry, it has a very high likelihood of fitting a wide variety of other standard 2011 / DS 1911 magazines on the market (such as Springfield Prodigy). (Note: Fitment on non-Checkmate aftermarket mags like MBX or Atlas may vary slightly, but standard 2011 tubes should work perfectly).
- 3D Printing Optimized: The geometry has been carefully designed from the ground up specifically for FDM 3D printing. It ensures clean overhangs and accurate tolerances, minimizing or completely eliminating the need for supports.
- Enhanced Grip: Features an aggressive ribbed texture on the sides and front to ensure a secure grip during fast tactical reloads or when stripping a stuck magazine during a malfunction.
- Drop-In Fit: Designed to seamlessly replace the factory baseplate using the original magazine spring and retainer plate.
- Sleek Aesthetics: Matches the aggressive, modern tactical styling of the new wave of DS 1911s.
Printing Guidelines:
- Recommended Material: I highly recommend printing this in PA6-CF (Carbon Fiber Nylon), as shown in the pictures, for maximum durability, impact resistance, and a premium matte finish.
- Alternative Materials: ABS, ASA, PETG, or PC are also excellent choices. PLA/PLA+ will work fine for casual range use but may crack if dropped repeatedly on hard surfaces (like concrete floors during drills).
- Infill: 40-100% (High infill is strongly recommended to add weight and survive impacts when dropping empty magazines).
- Walls/Perimeters: 4+ for necessary structural integrity around the locking lips.
- Orientation: Print it like in the print profile to ensure maximum strength at magazine tube connection.
Installation: Ensure your firearm is completely unloaded. Depress the locking pin on the bottom of your factory Checkmate magazine, carefully slide off the original baseplate (keep your thumb over the spring so it doesn't fly out!), and slide this new 3D-printed baseplate on until the retainer clicks securely into the hole.
Safety Note: Always treat your firearm as if it is loaded. Ensure it is clear and safe before handling or modifying any parts.
