Description
I have a spare steering wheel and wanted to make a stand to display it on my desk
And it needed to be rotatable, something fun to fiddle with, so this model was created
The material I used is brown Bambu Lab PETG Basic, and the support interface is Bambu Lab Support for PLA and PETG
After several rounds of size adjustments, the current version fits quite snugly
The bearings need to be gently tapped in with a small rubber mallet
List of additional materials to purchase:
- 2*6807 bearings
- 8*M5*7*7 heat-set inserts, all screws are threaded into these heat-set inserts
- 1*M5*8 round head screw
- 6*M5*15 round head screws
- 1*M5*20 round head screw
See the image below for the interior; it is recommended to assemble it as shown in the image first, then install the steering wheel or quick release
