Arcane Scavenger
The rarest arcane scholars in the wasteland, guardians of the magic heritage of the Age of Radiance, belonging to the "Library Tower" settlement, a group of scholar descendants who miraculously preserved a corner of the Imperial Library during the Great Collapse.
They constantly travel through abandoned magic towers and ancient university ruins, collecting lost arcane texts and deciphering ancient magic runes. Their round-rimmed goggles protect against the magical glare in the ruins, and their staves, embedded with source crystals at the tip, can channel magic to cast defensive and offensive spells, purify small areas of miasma, and interpret ancient mechanisms. They are the "living dictionaries" of the wasteland, the only ones who can truly understand the knowledge of the Age of Radiance, and the sole hope for activating old-era purification devices and saving settlements ravaged by miasma. Most survivor settlements treat them with great respect.
