Using the MakerWorld Customizer (click the Customize button), you have full control over the model:
- Text Settings: Enter your pet's name, adjust the font size, letter spacing, and choose from 15+ different font styles! (Thick fonts are highly recommended for 3D printing).
- Dog Model Customization: Easily scale the dog up or down and rotate it to face any direction.
- Podium Settings: Change the diameter, adjust the height of the tiers, and modify the depth of the steps to match your style.
- Frame Details: Tweak the thickness of the industrial-style frame and control how deep the text is extruded.
đ¨ď¸ PRO TIPS FOR A PREMIUM LOOK
This model was designed as a premium decorative piece. To make it look like a high-end solid sculpture and hide standard 3D-printing artifacts, I highly recommend these visual tweaks:
- Layer Height: Use 0.16mm or lower (0.12mm or 0.08mm). A smaller layer height beautifully hides the vertical layer lines, making the stylized geometry of the dog look sharp, clean, and intentional.
- Ironing for the Podium: This is the secret to a flawless, injection-molded look! Ironing will completely smooth out the horizontal flat steps of the podium.
How to do it: In your slicer, select the podium part, go to the Quality tab, enable Ironing, and set the Ironing Type to "All top surfaces".
đ¨ MULTI-COLOR MAGIC
For an absolutely amazing result, print the podium in one color and the dog in another!
- If you have an AMS, easily paint the parts in the slicer.
- If you have a standard printer, simply add a Manual Pause (Color Change) at the exact layer where the podium ends and the dog's paws begin.
