Description

🧠 Sound Memory Game / Soung Pairs
The Sound Memory Game offers a creative twist on the classic memory game — instead of matching images, players match sounds. Each capsule produces a distinct sound when shaken, and the goal is to find two that sound the same. This game strengthens auditory perception, concentration, and memory, while encouraging creativity through custom sound combinations. It’s ideal for children, adults, seniors, and educational settings.

🎧 What’s Included

•     3D-printable capsules designed for various sound fillings
•     Lids with numbers or colored symbols to mark each pair
•     A base set of 12 pairs, expandable with additional numbered lids
•     Option to print a blank lid for custom marking or creative use

🪵 Sound Filling Ideas

Capsules can be filled with a wide range of materials to create unique sound profiles. Great options include paper scraps, failed prints, 3D printing supports, flexible materials like TPU, small discarded toys, screws, nutshells, rice, pasta, salt, beads, glass marbles, paperclips, and other small items. Mixing materials allows for a rich variety of sounds while combining ecology with creativity.
Always consider safety when choosing fillings, especially for small children or seniors.

🧩 Construction Features
•     Prints without supports for fast and clean results
•     Optimized for PLA and PETG
•     Durable design suitable for frequent use
•     Rounded edges for safe handling

🎲 How to Play
1.     Shuffle the capsules and spread them out.
2.     Players take turns shaking two capsules.
3.     If the sounds match, the player keeps the pair.
4.     The player with the most pairs wins.
5.     For fair play, it’s recommended that a third person verifies sound matches, ensuring players rely solely on hearing and not visual cues.

🧑🏫 Educational Use

This game is a powerful tool for developing auditory discrimination, attention, and memory. Start with fewer pairs for younger children and gradually increase difficulty. Combine gameplay with activities like sound description, material guessing, or loudness sorting. In speech therapy and special education, it supports gentle auditory training. For seniors, it promotes focus, fine motor skills, and social engagement.

🛠️ Printing & Assembly Tips

•     Recommended materials: PLA or PETG
•     Layer height: 0.2 mm
•     No supports needed
•     Use contrasting colors for lids to aid recognition
•     Capsules can be reopened after filling

🔧 Assembly Note

Capsules use alignment pins to ensure precise lid placement. Due to print orientation, these pins may be fragile and prone to cracking. For a strong and lasting bond, use glue in combination with the pins. The design includes purge-line clearances for proper fit. Apply a thin layer of glue around the full circumference and gently tap the lid into place using a rubber mallet. This ensures a secure connection while preserving pin functionality.
