Description
Hi folks! I wanted to share a garage‑door bracket/gravity mount I designed for the Ring Contact Sensor (Gen 2 / the latest).
Mount it on the inside of the garage door so it remains "closed" when the door is down. Once the door goes up, gravity will do its thing and pull the sensor apart.
No tape needed! You can keep the original adhesive tape in place and you don't need to peel it, the sensor snaps right into the bracket and stays secure.
If the print is not perfect and you struggle to fit the sensor in, give the inside of the bracket a light brush with a file.
Ideally, you should mount it on the highest section of the door so the sensor "opens" as soon as possible.
