History of the Figures
Elijah appears in the Old Testament (1 Kings 17–2 Kings 2) as a bold prophet who confronted corruption, called down fire from heaven, and was taken up in a whirlwind. He represents fearless obedience and uncompromising faith.
Elisha was Elijah’s disciple and successor. After witnessing Elijah’s ascent, he continued the prophetic mission, performing miracles of healing and provision. He represents faithful succession, steady leadership, and carrying forward a legacy.
Together, they symbolize conviction and continuity.
