Description

Serious Field Notes Stencil - Recording Log Template

This stencil was designed for field recordists and sound professionals who want a fast, consistent way to log recording details in the field.

It was developed from real-world recording experience and inspired by situations where I wished I had a simple tool to quickly structure notes while working on location. The layout helps you capture essential session information such as file, date, time, location, recorder, mic, gain, rate, depth, weather, distance, movement, noise, and notes.

The format is optimized for a 200 × 60 mm ruler-style stencil and is designed for FDM printing. Lightweight, portable, and easy to use in notebooks or logbooks.

Print notes:

  • No supports required
  • Works well in PLA or PETG
  • 0.2 mm layer height recommended
  • IF USING A1 MINI: Re-scale 60 to 55mm and rotate around 43 degrees to be able to print.
