A Piece of Human History in 3D Print

This extraordinary design displays the famous Arecibo message – one of humanity's best-known interstellar messages – as a stylized 3D-printed panel in a high-contrast black and white look

On November 16, 1974, a unique radio message was sent into space from the Arecibo radio telescope in Puerto Rico

The target was the globular cluster Messier 13 (M13), approximately 25,000 light-years away. The transmission was not intended as a serious attempt at contact but rather as a demonstration of technological capability – a symbolic greeting from humanity to the universe

The message consisted of 1,679 data bits. When correctly arranged, they form a graphical representation with fundamental information about humanity and our planet
