UPDATE 2026/03/02:

New profiles: I redesigned the DIY part that fits in tight as well as a holder for your Skadis wall.

The backside of the holder features an optional recessed indent designed to fit:

  • 12 × 36 mm magnet strip
  • 15 × 36 mm double-sided adhesive tape

This allows you to mount the holder securely to metal surfaces, printer frames, cabinets, walls, or inside enclosures.

UPDATE 2026/03/01:

I increased the depth of the blade slot so the screws no longer protrude from the tool. This prevents the risk of scratching your build plate with the screw heads.

Thanks for the advice, @Dethpickle!

__________________________________________________________________

This is my redesigned and print-optimized version of the Mag-Alloy Scraper from MakerWorld.

The model is designed to use the original standard scraper blade and screws, so you can reuse your existing hardware without modification.

Unlike the original version, the magnets are not placed on the bottom side.
This was changed intentionally for both optical and functional reasons — positioning them underneath reduces holding performance and stability. The revised magnet placement ensures reliable magnetic adhesion while maintaining a clean design.

Available Magnet Variants

The model includes 3 dedicated print profiles for different magnet sizes you can glue in the holes:

  • Ø4x2 mm magnets
  • Ø5x2 mm magnets
  • Ø6x2 mm magnets

Each profile also includes a Support-Optimized Version.

No-Support Version

The optimized version (see below) contains no floating surfaces, meaning it can be printed without support structures.
