Description

One of the biggest drawbacks of the CC2 is its open spool mount design. While the community has already created some great solutions, I felt there was room for a more modular approach; one that doesn’t rely heavily on additional structural parts, plexiglass panels or bins. The total print time is 1 day and 8 hours (more or less) and 1.6 kilos of filament.

Print plates 1 and 2 two times, and be careful when inserting the magnets so you dont mess up the polarity. A magnet pen is highly recommended (blue for cases, red for covers).

The magnets used are the standard  6x2mm magnets.

While it’s true that my version requires PTFE couplers and magnets, but the magnets provide a quick-release mechanism that makes filament changes fast and effortless, which I consider essential for a smooth user experience. Also, they are cheap and easy to obtain.

The system is currently being adapted for the AMS lite, but due to issues with the NFC reader placement and the goal to keep the autorewind in place, its really putting up a fight. When (or if) I get it working smoothly,  a new profile will be added to this model.

This is still a work in progress, work is in progress for a maglock dessicant storage bins and other stuff. The addons will be made to fit this design, you will NOT have to reprint the main enclosure

Any recommendations, problems and ideas; shoot me a comment :)
