The Squircle Mouse Pad blends the softness of a circle with the structure of a square, creating a perfectly balanced surface that feels natural under hand and visually refined on any desk. The shape itself — known mathematically as a superellipse — was popularised in the 1960s by Danish designer and scientist Piet Hein, who used it in furniture and architecture to create forms that were both practical and harmonious.
In modern product design, the squircle became iconic through Apple’s design language. From the rounded app icons in iOS to the softened industrial forms of the iPhone, MacBook, and iMac, the squircle represents precision made approachable — engineered geometry with human warmth.
