Description

The Royal Helm represents the ceremonial authority and solemn oath of a crowned knight.
With its regal silhouette and refined ornamental detailing, this piece captures the presence of royal medieval armor while remaining optimized for modern 3D printing.

The model includes both the helmet and the gorget (neck guard) components. They are designed as two pieces. You can choose to print either helmet or the gorget to wear seperately.

🏰 Available Versions

🔹 60% Scale – Display Version

Designed for display, collectors, and diorama setups.
This version can be printed as a single-piece model (subject to printer size capacity).

🔹 100%  / 125% – Wearable Versions

These versions are scaled for life-size wearable use, with structural modifications to accommodate different head circumferences and printer build limits.

Features:

  • Two primary helmet shell parts
  • TPU flexible straps connect both sections
  • Glue required for permanent structural assembly
  • Gorget divided into four parts for easier printing

Scaling can be adjusted based on individual head circumference and printer build volume. Here is the size reference guide with the consideration of the printer size limit.

Assembly Guide

Helmet (No Glue Required)

Connection Method: TPU straps only
Total Strap Locations: 3 (Back ×1, Sides ×2)

Assembly Steps:

  1. Attach the back strap first.
This secures the main helmet structure and keeps alignment correct.
  2. Put on the helmet.
  3. While wearing it, attach the two side straps.

🛡 Gorget (Glue Required)

Main Structure:
Glue the front piece

Glue the back piece

For glue, I would recommend to apply plastic glue evenly along the contact surfaces of the pieces. Because the parts are large and difficult to clamp, I also apply hot glue (hot melt glue) along the outside seam for reinforcement and added stability while curing. Allow the glue to fully cure before wearing.

Straps: 4 total

  • Top ×2
  • Bottom ×2

For wearing:

  • All four straps provide the most stable fit.
  • When I did testing, it can be worn using only the top two straps, but full strap connection is recommended for better support.

🛠 Notes

This model is intended for cosplay, display, and artistic purposes only.
