Description

This is an improved version of my powder dispenser designed for dry, free-flowing materials.
The model has been redesigned to be larger, more efficient, and more reliable in everyday use.

It works great for laundry powder, but it can also be used for other dry, granular materials.

What’s new in this version?

  • Larger dose per turn- approximately 50 g per full ro
    tation
  • Reduced risk of powder clogging or not dispensing properly
  • Measuring cup mounted on a dovetail slide, keeping it firmly in place and reducing mess
  • Increased capacity of both the measuring cup and the main container
  • Easier to print
  • Added option to install a front label insert (for example: “Colors”, “Whites”, etc.)
  • Included an additional version with screw holes, allowing the dispenser to be mounted to a wall using screws

Operation is simple- turn the knob, the powder drops into the cup, pour it out, done.
No guessing. No scooping. No unnecessary mess.

Assembly

Assemble the parts in the exact order shown in the GIF below.
For maximum durability and proper sealing, I recommend carefully gluing all parts together during assembly.

I love the improvements for V2. The ability to slide the cup helps with accuracy, the added inner star helps with clumping, and the knob is easier to use. I used the bigger one for sugar to test it but the weight of the sugar makes it a little tough to turn. Although there is a bit of extra that comes out on the cup handle it still functions great. I used powder creamer, in the smaller version I scaled down, and it works with no leaks or problems at all. I will be printing another smaller for the sugar. Lastly I clone the knob, sliced it, and glued it to the top for easier access. Thank you for the awesome design!

I like the small version, did you just scale it down? or did you have to do any modification to it?

I love this print! It was really easy to print and assemble. I only have a1 mini so had to adjust top white part to be a bit shorter to fit so overall storage got smaller but still super useful! Thank you!

How did you shorten the white part?

I used blender to move vertices so it doesnt get squashed but shorter overall!

Do you mind sharing your adjusted print profile? Would be very helpful for the other A1 Mini owners.

Great model, printed easily without supports. A little bit of powder was leaking out over the cup handle when dispensing, but a small piece of clear tape completely resolved.

I haven't fully assembled yet, but noticed what I assume is hopefully small issue, the tab at the back of the middle insert is placed in a way that when put with the lower it overlaps the back shelf, causing the entire thing to be skewed.

Thanks for pointing that out, it's been fixed now.

Can you make one for very small doses? 5 grams?

Would it be possible to reduce the roller on plate 3 so that less powder comes out, maybe with different sizes? And a knob for the lid

Scaled down to 48.4% (in theory to dose 5 grams of soluble fertilizer). The print itself is simply PERFECT, despite the difference in size. only my calculations to find the right dose seem to be wrong (too much powder for a dose), maybe because of different density of the soap wet the fertiliser… anyway I couldn’t be happier of the print. Will boost as soon as I have one!

this looks amazing! I’ve found it when looking for a dispenser for water soluble plant food. the doses I need are 1/4 TBS (1.25ml) and 1 TBS (15ml) — the math doesn’t work for me but that’s what the actual doses says. I’ve no idea how to adapt it, would it be possible for you to help with it?
