Peugeot 106 / Citroën Saxo - Raised Shifter Base
Print Profile(1)

Description
[ITA]
- Materiale: PETG, ABS, ASA o (meglio ancora) Carbon Nylon (PA-CF).

Take your shifting feel to the next level!
I have created a faithful 3D replica of the famous raised shifter tower (castelletto) designed for Unibal (spherical) joints. This is an essential upgrade for Peugeot 106 and Citroën Saxo owners looking for precise, notch-free, and rapid gear changes with a true racing aesthetic.
This model was reverse-engineered from a real physical part, optimized to be either 3D printed as-is or modified to suit your specific needs.
🛠 Technical Specifications & Required Hardware
To complete the assembly as per the original design, you will need the following standard components:
- Circlip (Seeger): Standard DIN 472 with a nominal diameter ($d_1$) of 40mm.
- Unibal / Spherical Bearing: The housing is designed for a joint with an internal diameter of 19.7mm.
🔧 Built for the Community (Open for Remixes!)
My goal isn't just to provide a static file, but to give the community a solid foundation to build upon.
- Need a different Unibal size? The design is clean and easy to modify for different bearing seats or offsets.
- Customization: Feel free to remix this project to adapt it to different heights, car models, or hardware types. I want to see how you improve it!
💡 Printing Recommendations
Since this is a mechanical component subjected to stress and vibrations, I highly recommend:
- Material: PETG, ABS, ASA, or ideally Carbon Fiber Nylon (PA-CF). Do not use PLA, as it will not withstand the heat and mechanical stress inside a car.
- Infill: At least 50% using Gyroid or Cubic patterns for structural integrity.
- Walls: Use at least 4-5 wall loops to ensure the Seeger ring seat is strong enough to hold under pressure.
