The clip from the handcuff key allows it to be securely fixed to clothing. 

Discreet placement options include behind the belt loop, waistband of pants or underwear, top of sock, shoelaces or coat laces or even the cuff of a long-sleeve shirt,etc. Its small size and low-profile design make detection extremely unlikely, yet it's always accessible when required in case of emergency.
