☢️ Deathclaw: The Apex Roar - 140mm Pro-Scale
"The last thing many wastelanders hear is a roar that echoes through the ruins of the Mojave."
This is the second entry in my Wasteland Predators series. While the first model captured the Deathclaw in a low-slung prowl, this version stands tall in a powerful, terrifying roar. Scaled at 140mm, it is designed to be in perfect proportion with the 100mm "Prowler" version.
📏 Design & Standalone Balance
- Anatomical Precision: Just like the first version, I have kept the feet anatomically correct without flattening the bottom.
- The "Floating" Tail: This model stands perfectly balanced on its two hind legs. The tail is elevated and does not touch the ground, providing a more dynamic and aggressive silhouette.
- No Base Required: Engineered to stand securely on its own geometry, offering a premium "statue" aesthetic for your display.
⚙️ Technical Print Settings (Optimized for Stability)
This profile has been meticulously tuned to ensure success even on cantilever printers like the A1 Mini (i had a lot of problem with this one).
- Resolution: 0.12mm.
- Infill: 10% Gyroid (Global) / 18% Gyroid (Lower Section) to lower the center of gravity for maximum stability.
- Supports: Custom-painted Organic Tree Supports are included to handle the complex overhangs of the arms and head.
- Safety Features: The profile includes a Brim for better bed adhesion and a speed-reduction rule based on height to prevent vibrations as the print reaches the head.
🛠️ Pro Post-Processing Guide (Handle with Care!)
This model features extreme details that require a patient hand during cleanup (approx. 15 minutes):
- Critical Zones: Pay close attention to the fingers, nails, and the individual teeth.
- The Tongue: There is a very delicate, long tongue inside the mouth—always snip the support interfaces with flush cutters before pulling.
- Technique: Always pull supports downwards away from the delicate points to avoid snapping the fine extremities.

❤️ Support My Work If this model was useful to you, please consider giving it a **Boost**! 🚀 It helps me buy more filament to test and design new functional parts. *Happy Printing!*
Technical & Creative Note: This design is based on an AI generation (Tripo) that I have manually refined and tested on FDM prints to ensure printability and quality. The featured photo is of the actual physical print. I’ve included AI-colored renders only as a visual reference for those who wish to paint the miniature.
🛠️ Support the Process!
💡 What you see is what you get: Unlike many profiles that only upload digital renders of unprintable models, every single design here is fully test-printed, refined in Blender/Meshmixer, and optimized for FDM before release.
I spend hours tweaking geometries, custom supports, and wasting my own filament so that you can enjoy a flawless, hassle-free print on your first try.
If my test-printing hours saved your time and filament, feel free to keep my printers running and fuel the next project! Any support is greatly appreciated: paypal.me/mjrko84
