Description

Used a different brace for a while but found it helped but still had a lot of flex and took away a lot of my leg space. The harsh edges would really dig into my thigh as well. So I learned how to use Fusion360 and designed this part from scratch.

it uses M4 (clamp) and M6 (arm) hardware, you will need supports due to the unique angle the arm curves at but the clamps should print support free. This was designed to work with the CSL DD, with the wheel deck in the farthest back position (to compensate for the CSL DD's shaft length). I have tested this and it works VERY well, it eliminates most if not all wheel deck wobble and restores 90% of the leg space lost compared to other designs.

It works very well. Thanks. My M4 nuts did not enter well in the precut holes, but with the help of a soldering iron, they went through.

Is your chair still foldable with the added supports here as well as the white ones you put to connect the pedals?

Yes and no. If you want to rotate the base around the upper tupbe, you will have to unscrew it. But maybe it could work withtout rotating it, but the kit will be thicker and the strap will not be long enough. The brackets for the pedal support can rotate on the tube. So this part is not a problem for folding it.

It worked perfectly and significantly increased the torsional rigidity of the upper mount

Unfortunately, the predefined angle of the construction slightly limits the adjustment of the Playseat's steering wheel angle, but otherwise, it's excellent 👍🏻

Overall, the Playseat is somewhat flimsy, but this modification significantly enhances the steering unit's robustness. I've also printed versions from other suppliers, but all suffered from severely restricted legroom. This one offers considerably more, thank you.
