Description

A 2U 10" rack tray for a mini ITX motherboard/PC. This tray has a setback in the front to mount 2 80mm for cooling. It also includes build plates pre-configured for different styles of magnetic front plates. See the “features” section for more details. Please see the filament and printing section below before printing.

Build plates contain the main tray, and multiple magnetic front plates:

  1. Tray (solid bottom)
  2. Tray (open bottom)
  3. Tray (solid bottom, solid sides)
  4. Tray (open bottom, solid sides)
  5. Magnetic Front Plate: Mesh
  6. Magnetic Front Plate: Solid
  7. Magnetic Front Plate: Open

If you would like a different fan size or grill style, please comment and I will see what I can do!

Features:

  • Variety of magnetic front plates
  • HBA card supported in the rear
  • Ample room to mount a fan to the HBA card heatsink
  • Open bottom version allows you to easily install CPU coolers and bottom mounted NVME SSDs.
  • Closed bottom version also available
  • Supports 80mm fans (x2) in the front
  • 2U
  • Offset 16mm power button

Filament & Printing:
PETG, ASA, ABS…

For homelab use, I would avoid lower temperature filaments like PLA and PLA+. YMMV.

SUPPORTS: The sides shouldn't require any support. I've printed 3 of these, and with support painting on the sides, they have printed great. If you decide to print with supports on the sides, bear in mind that it can be a tedious removal process. I also painted basically everywhere a printer is capable of bridging. If you have questions, please comment and I will expound upon this.

This WILL fit on a P1S. If you enable the wrong (tree) supports, or center the model, it won't. It needs to be offset to avoid the exclusion zone in the front left.

I've recently added solid sided versions that may be easier to print. I didn't have any problem with the open sided version, but the closed sided one will be easier.

If printing with PETG, I prefer to use gyroid infill to help avoid infill collisions which can result in a dirtier print.

Components:

  • M3 heat set inserts (4) for installing the motherboard
  • M3 heat set insert (1) if you are mounting the HBA card
  • 6x2mm magnets (6) for the magnetic front plate
  • 16mm power button

Note: I'll be adding a couple more front plate designs soon. If you have requests, please leave a comment and I will see what I can do.

I hope you enjoy this design! If you find this useful, please consider boosting this model, or “buying me a coffee.”
