Modular Pocket Tackle Box

  • A compact, fully modular tackle box system designed for anglers who want flexibility without unnecessary bulk. 
  • I really like the idea of this model and designed my own version with a thiner Slim version and a thicker Deep version to store different fishing accessories and lures.

Key Features

1. Two Half-Box Options

Slim Half Box – 16.8mm Total Height
Designed for hooks, weights, swivels, and small fishing accessories.

  • 4 small compartments
  • 4 large compartments
  • Each compartment is individually covered

Deep Half Box – 29.8mm Total Height
Designed for jigs, soft plastics, crankbaits, chatterbaits, and other bulkier lures.

  • Spacious configurable interior
  • Compatible with vertical and horizontal dividers
  • Includes dedicated jig organizer divider

 

2. Fully Symmetrical & Modular Design

The box is completely symmetrical, allowing both halves to be freely combined:

  • Slim + Slim
  • Slim + Deep
  • Deep + Deep

3. Individual Compartment Covers

Each compartment is concealed by its own lid to prevent mixing contents during transport — even when stored vertically or inside a backpack.

4.Custom Divider System (Deep Version)

The Deep Half Box includes:

  • Vertical dividers
  • Horizontal dividers
  • Specialized jig storage divider

     

     

 

 

Print & Assembly Guide

Recommended Materials

  • Box / Dividers / Latch: PLA or PETG
  • Lids: TPU (for flexibility and improved fit) DO NOT print with PETG, the hinge area will break.

For transparent lids, follow Bambu Lab’s guidance on printing clear TPU. https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/knowledge-sharing/transparent-petg

The default print profile for Lids is my setup for printing transparent TPU.

 

Hardware Required

  • 2 × M3 × 25mm screws
  • 2 × M3 nuts
    (Used for hinge assembly)
