SF26 Front wing scale 1:2
Project Description
This project is the front wing of the Ferrari SF26 in 1:2 scale, the design process started as soon as the first photos of the new single-seater were released, and it is still under development, as it still requires the painting process and sticker application
made completely from scratch, and printed to verify correct functionality
to realize this project, approximately 3.2kg of material is needed, the use of PETG or ABS is strongly recommended, in fact, due to excessive weight, PLA might not hold up
it was printed with a Bambu Lab A1, 11 print plates were needed with a total printing time of about 4 days
WALL MOUNTING:
for wall mounting, a fastening system has been designed using a 35mm ring that inserts into the body present in plate number 5, printing will automatically pause for the insertion of the ring, and then restarted manually
if you want to use another mounting system, you simply need to remove the pause in the gcode
MODEL DIMENSIONS
WIDTH: 891.71mm
HEIGHT: 562.60mm
DEPTH: 271.71mm
WEIGHT: >4Kg
FINAL TREATMENT:
Regarding the final treatment and to achieve an excellent result, it will be necessary to sand with sandpaper, initially with a heavier grit to finish with a finer grit for a smoother surface, it will also be necessary to use automotive primer to cover the base color and make the paint adhere better. As for the paints to use, I used a black spray can and then had a custom spray can made with the code PANTONE 485C, to get the stickers contact me on Instagram: fvracing_3drprint
