MedalDisplay Hex - The Modular 3D Printable Display Case

MakerWorld doesn't support folders in the file section just yet, Please download the “Final Release.zip” file if you want to retain any sorting and File Structure!

Updates:

• 31-July-23: Added a slightly modified version of ShelfPin_Flat with a bit more surface area for better bed adhesion - “ShelfPin_Flat_B.stl”. The predefined orientation is still best for strength.
• 30-July-23: added a list of all my officially released “addons” at the bottom of the description.

MedalDisplay is a system of 3D printable parts to make a custom sized display case for all your stuff.

• Free!
• Hexagonal (Hexagons are Bestagons)
• Modular and Open Source, Anyone can make an add-on or customise for MedalDisplay
• Fully 3D Printable, no hardware required (Glue wouldn't hurt for larger setups)
• No supports at all!
• Portrait and Landscape Orientations (Square Setups are in the works)
• Fits on most printer beds (see below)
• Print a full display in under 20 hours on a stock Bambu P1P or under 60 hours on a Stock Ender 3

In the Zip File you will find a neat folder structure with all parts as well as text files and diagrams with information on what each part does and other key information.

A PDF file with full instructions and notes will be included when I get the time, there is also a build video here.

This Project is Open Source. If you would like to add anything to it or modify it, feel free to do so, but please ensure you link back to the original files here so people know that it belongs to this open source project.

Notes:

• Some users have found the tolerances for pins to be quite tight, if this isn't desired, it may be good to change the wall order or even play with the scale of the pins.
• In my tests I had the ShelfPins (the hex shaped ones) a little loose, as I filled the void with blutack or superglued them once i had the layout done.
