Mighty Scribe & Contour Tracer

Check out this simple, small but mighty tool - Mighty Scribe. Just insert any standard #2 pencil.

The model is parametric with a single parameter, the face-to-face diameter of the pencil. Unfortunately there are no standards for pencil dimensions. They are all close but with minor differences. So, just enter the actual measured diameter. Model adds 0.1 mm tolerance.

Mighty Scribe will allow you to scribe and mark layout lines in 1 mm increments between 6 mm and 41 mm. It is especially useful for tracing contours to fit parts between two uneven 90 degree surfaces. Say you want your shelf to fit the uneven wall like a glove, just trace it with the Mighty Scribe and cut the shelf along the scribe line. It will follow any gentle curve.

There are three columns of pencil positions, spaced 6 mm vertically and 2 mm between columns. There are two reference surfaces, one giving all the odd values and the other giving all the even ones.
