Model Introduction

This is a modification solution for a wine-red industrial lens for Canon RF series cameras. The 90mm prime lens is equivalent to a 144mm prime lens on Canon APS-C, suitable for the wine-red industrial prime lens with a front diameter of 48mm, a rear diameter of 43mm, a length of 55mm, and a focal length of 90mm, as shown in the figure below. It is equipped with manually adjustable aperture and focus rings, and it has been verified on Canon R7 and Canon R50 APS-C cameras that it can focus to infinity

Parts List

  • (Required) 90mm wine-red lens x1
  • (Required) Screws:
    • m3x6   3 pieces
    • m3x4   4 pieces
    • m2x6   6 pieces
  • (Required) RF to M42 adapter ring: To prevent the 3D printed RF mount from breaking inside the camera, it is recommended to buy a metal ring, which costs only a few dollars
  • (Optional) 58mm UV filter, can be directly screwed onto the outermost thread of the aperture
  • (Optional) 58mm lens hood (the lens hood in the model currently has a bug and cannot be reversely mounted, it may be optimized later)

Printing Configuration

  • Refer to the table below

    Note:

    1. The lens hood on plate 9 currently has an unaddressed bug; it can only be mounted normally, not in reverse. Please consider whether to print it, and if purchasing, choose a 58mm lens hood.

    2. When printing plate 14, a pause needs to be added at layer 27 to insert the ring from plate 11, then resume printing.

References

  • For the aperture, I referred to the following link: Aperture
  • If you need a lens cap, it is recommended to print this one: Lens Cap. It has been tested and works, just choose 58mm
  • If you need a lens cap for the RF mount end, it is recommended to print this one: RF Mount Lens Cap
