This miniature is part of the Monster Manual 2024 Collection, a series of iconic creatures faithfully reimagined as dynamic, tabletop-ready sculpts.
An Adult Black Dragon is a master of ambush and psychological warfare. Unlike the ancient wyrm that rules through long-laid schemes, this dragon is active, aggressive, and fiercely protective of its swamp domain. It delights in terrorizing intruders before dissolving them in acid and dragging their remains into the mire.
The miniature depicts the dragon in a low, forward-driving stance, claws gripping broken swamp stone. Its wings are fully spread in a threatening display, but sculpted thick and structurally reinforced to ensure tabletop durability. The membranes show natural wear and subtle tears without fragile, unsupported edges.
Its horned skull-like head thrusts forward, jaws open in a savage roar. Rows of sharp, uneven teeth frame a detailed maw, while the eyes burn with a predatory yellow glow â intelligent, territorial, and cruel.
The body is muscular and compact, emphasizing explosive power rather than sheer ancient bulk. Heavy, layered scales create a rugged texture across the neck, shoulders, and back. Prominent horns curve backward from the brow, reinforcing its unmistakable black dragon silhouette.
