Description

This is a Systematic Test for Analysis of Bridge Layer Efficiency (aka S.T.A.B.L.E.)

This model is a remix of the Unsupported Bridge Experiments by Bambu Lab.

It extends the original concept by integrating predefined variations of the most relevant parameters affecting bridge performance. Instead of manually adjusting slicer settings between prints, this version incorporates structured parameter variations directly into the model design.

The following bridging-relevant settings are systematically varied:

  • Thick Bridges
    Increased bridge extrusion width to evaluate sag resistance and strand stability.
  • Bridge Flow
    Controlled variation of bridge flow rate to analyze under- and over-extrusion effects during unsupported spans.
  • Bridge Speed
    Multiple bridge speed levels to assess the interaction between cooling, tension, and material stretching across open gaps, according to the previously defined test matrix.

The result is a compact benchmark model that enables direct comparison of bridging behavior across critical parameter combinations, improving repeatability and reducing setup effort.
