Boxes for Knitting Needles

My wife was looking for a practical, pretty, and above all, clear solution to neatly store her knitting needles (double-pointed needle set). Since we couldn't find anything suitable online, we quickly designed one ourselves – especially for anyone who no longer wants their needles flying around loose in bags, tins, or project bags.

The result is handy boxes that can hold knitting needles with a maximum length of up to 150/200 mm and diameters between 1.5 and 10 mm. This provides a stable, well-protected, and visually appealing storage solution for the most common needle sizes. The boxes are suitable for both home use and for taking with you in a project bag or handbag.

When printing, note that the height and width of the boxes vary depending on the needle size. This way, each needle size gets its perfectly fitting box.
You can customize the lid text directly in the slicer to your liking – for example, with your name or a short saying. This turns a simple box into your very own personal knitting accessory in no time.

This is Version 2 of the boxes, the following points have been changed/improved.

• Boxes have been optimized in length and now have less play in length.
• There are now also boxes for 150 mm needles.
• The stiffness of the lid has been eliminated.

Make sure you download the correct version. There are four files:

• For one set with 150mm length
• For two sets with 150mm length
• For one set with 200mm length
• For two sets with 200mm length

Note for A1 mini Users:

You can print all 150mm and 200mm boxes up to 7mm. To do this, you need to rotate the boxes and the lid by 45° degrees on the print bed.
