Professional 3D Printed Sun Hood for Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 / PRO

Improve your outdoor filming workflow with this custom-designed, snap-on Sun Hood. While the tilting screen on the BMPCC 6K G2 or PRO is bright, direct sunlight can still wash out your image. This hood provides the necessary shade for accurate monitoring without the need for a bulky cage or external monitor.

• Perfect Fit & Instant Snap-On: Built upon the same precision photogrammetry scan as my original screen cover. It attaches securely to the tilting LCD with a simple, satisfying click – no tools or extra parts required.
• Deep Shielding for Maximum Clarity: The elongated hood design effectively blocks glare from the top and sides, allowing you to judge exposure and focus accurately even in harsh daylight.
• Expandable Design (Velcro Mod): The outer rim of the hood is designed so you can easily apply adhesive Velcro strips. This allows you to attach an additional fabric extension or a "blackout cloth," effectively lengthening the sun tunnel for even better visibility in extreme conditions.
• Exceptional Durability: Intended to be printed in Black PETG for high-strength and temperature resistance. This ensures the hood won't warp under the sun or during long outdoor shoots.
• Optimized for Reliable Printing: The model is designed to be printed with minimal supports, maintaining clean edges and a professional look.

Part of a Complete Protection System:

This Sun Hood is the functional "brother" to my original Screen Cover for BMPCC 6K G2 / PRO. While this model is for active shooting, the Screen Cover is designed to protect your LCD from impact and scratches during transport. Both models share the same precision-fit frame geometry.

Printing Notes & Disclaimer:

• Material Recommendation: Use Black Matte PETG for the best balance of durability and heat resistance.
• DIY Extension: If you decide to use the Velcro mod, I recommend using a lightweight, light-tight fabric (like Cordura or black felt) to create the extension.
• Interior Finish: To achieve the best anti-reflective results, I recommend using a matte black filament or adding a small piece of adhesive felt to the inner walls of the hood.
• Compatibility: Designed specifically for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 and 6K PRO.
