Thank you so much for the Boost! Glad you like it. I hope you can share a picture if you print it! 🚀

Add a touch of epic fantasy or gothic elegance to your hairstyle. 🦇✨

This sculptural hair fork is designed to securely hold buns and updo hairstyles while making a bold statement.

The Inspiration: The design is heavily inspired by the magnificent Illyrian wings of Rhysand, High Lord of the Night Court, from Sarah J. Maas’s bestselling ACOTAR (A Court of Thorns and Roses) series.

While perfect for BookTok fans and cosplayers, its organic, textured membrane design also makes it an ideal accessory for lovers of dragons, bats, vampires, or general dark fantasy aesthetics. It’s perfect for Renaissance fairs, Halloween, or just adding some magic to your daily look.

⚙️ Printing Recommendations for Strength & Detail:

Hair forks need to be strong to withstand the tension of a hair bun without snapping.

  • Material: PETG, ASA, or ABS are recommended for their slight flexibility and higher heat resistance. Standard PLA can work, but PLA+ or "Tough PLA" is much better to prevent the prongs from being too brittle.
  • Orientation is Key: For maximum strength, print the model lying flat on its back. This ensures the layer lines run lengthwise down the prongs, making them much harder to snap during use. Printing it standing up looks nicer but makes the prongs very weak.
  • Walls/Perimeters: Use a high wall count (at least 4-5 perimeter walls) so the prongs are mostly solid plastic rather than infill.
  • Infill: 10% (Gyroid or Cubic pattern for multi-directional strength).
  • Supports: Yes. If printed lying flat on its back, you will need supports for the underside curve of the wings and prongs. Tree/Organic supports are highly recommended as they are easier to remove from the detailed edges.
