Raised Hand for hybrid meetings
Print Profile(1)

Description
Virtual Hand Raiser – the cheeky 3D-printed tool that screams "me next!" in hybrid meetings. You're in the room, remote folks on screen—wave this instead of awkwardly yelling or flailing. Hold it high like a scepter, clear visual cue, no Zoom chaos. Bold open-palm hand on a sturdy threaded rod handle. Fun, functional, and way better than waving your real hand like you're hailing a cab.
What It Does & Why You'll Love It Cuts through the "who's speaking next" fog instantly. The hand's posed for maximum visibility—think classic "pick me" or emoji raised hand vibes. Lightweight, easy to grip, perfect for offices, classrooms, workshops, or any mixed in-person/remote setup. Customize colors for personality: sunny yellow hand pops on camera, sleek rod keeps it pro.

- Raised hand with rod for hybrid meetings.3mf (two plates: hand on one, threaded rod parts on the other—split for optimal lay-flat strength)
Printing Recommendations Designed for reliability on printers like Bambu Lab models (prints beautifully on H2D setups). Use the 3MF as-is for best results.
- Hand: 35% gyroid infill is my sweet spot—strong, lightweight, bouncy feel. 0.2mm layer height, minimal/no supports needed (prints clean). Smooth finish for premium look—no fuzzy skin here.
- Threaded Rod: Print flat/lay-down orientation for maximum layer strength (that's why it's split). Add extra walls/perimeters (3–4 recommended) to beef it up—gives serious durability without bulking infill. 15–20% infill, 0.2mm layers. Fuzzy skin (0.08–0.12mm depth) transforms the grip into something grippy and premium-feeling, like textured rubber. Material: PETG shines here—tough, slight flex, resists snapping under repeated use or accidental drops. PLA or PLA+ work great too if you prefer; just prioritize those extra walls on the rod for real-world strength. Total print time ~2–3 hours at standard speeds.
Assembly Glue rod halves together first (align threads—light sanding if needed; CA glue or epoxy for a rock-solid bond). Then glue the hand to the rod tip—it fits snug but glue prevents it from twisting off during enthusiastic waving. Quick dab, done. Test for wobble; tape wrap adds insurance if desired.
Customization Notes
- Scaling incorrectly will cause threading issues.
- Add a custom base for desk display mode.
- Smooth the base of the hand for a cleaner look.
