Alessandro Giuseppe Antonio Anastasio Volta — Bust
This bust depicts Alessandro Giuseppe Antonio Anastasio Volta, the Italian physicist and inventor whose work shaped the birth of modern electricity. The sculpture faithfully reproduces the features from the most well-known portrait of the scientist: an aged face, attentive gaze, and serious expression reflecting the scientific rigor that defined his life.
The piece represents the man who gave his name to the unit of electric potential, the volt, and above all the inventor of the electric battery in 1800, the first stable source of continuous current in history. This discovery enabled the development of electrochemistry and paved the way for modern electronics.
Designed for 3D printing, the bust emphasizes facial structure, period clothing folds, and the intellectual presence of the figure. It stands as a tribute to one of the major pioneers of science whose discoveries permanently transformed the world.
