Detailed Instructions
1. Core Setup
- Text_String: Enter your name or text. Feel free to use French accents (e.g., François, Hélène).
- Group_Number: Select a font group (1 to 5). Each group contains a different aesthetic mix of fonts.
- Font_Index:
- Set to 0 (Tout): Displays the entire 2x10 grid of fonts in that group.
- Set to 1-20: Selects your chosen specific font for the final model.
- Show_Labels: Keep this ON while browsing fonts. Switch to OFF before exporting your final STL to remove the identification tags.
2. Structural Styling
- Enable_Wall: Toggle this to add a raised decorative border around the tag.
- Base_Thickness: Adjust the thickness of the nameplate (Standard: 2.0mm).
- Wall_Height: Set the height of the outer rim (Standard: 3.0mm).
- Corner Rounding: The generator automatically calculates an Outline_Width for a smooth, rounded bubble effect around the text.
3. Positioning the Keychain Hole
- Hole_Diameter: Customize the opening for your keyring (Standard: 4.0mm).
- Hole_X/Y_Adjust: If your name is very long or has specific letter shapes, use these sliders to shift the hanging loop position so it does not overlap with the text.
4. Printing & Multi-Color Advice
- Filament Swapping: This model is designed for layer-based color changes. In your slicer (e.g., Bambu Studio), add a "Change Filament" command at the specific layer height where the base ends and the text/wall begins.
- Layer Height: A layer height of 0.16mm or 0.2mm works great. For finer script fonts, a 0.12mm layer height is recommended for maximum detail.
- Top Surface: Use the "Ironing" feature on the top surface of the text for a smooth, professional-grade finish.
