šŸ¦Ž Basilisk Miniature – Petrifying Guardian of the Deep Wilds
This miniature is part of the Monster Manual 2024 Collection, a series of iconic creatures faithfully reimagined as dynamic, tabletop-ready sculpts.

The Basilisk is not a hunter that relies on speed or cunning ambush — it is a living curse of the wilds. With its heavy, reptilian body and crown of jagged crystalline spines, it stalks rocky highlands and the depths of the Underdark as a territorial apex predator. Its greatest weapon is neither claw nor fang, but the dreadful petrifying gaze that leaves battlefields frozen in eternal stillness.

The miniature depicts a powerful, low-slung reptilian monster braced against a rocky outcrop. Its body is thick and muscular, supported by eight clawed legs that grip firmly into the base for maximum print stability. The tail curves outward and reconnects naturally into the composition, avoiding fragile overhangs while reinforcing the creature’s grounded mass.

A ridge of sharp, ivory crystal spines erupts along its back, sculpted as solid, layered protrusions integrated into the silhouette for durability. The head is wide and predatory, jaws parted in a guttural hiss, revealing jagged teeth and a powerful bite. The eyes are slightly enlarged and forward-set, emphasizing the creature’s supernatural gaze without requiring translucent or fragile elements.

The scenic base features fractured stone and jagged rock formations — ideal for evoking mountain passes or subterranean caverns. Subtle texture variations suggest an environment littered with broken debris, hinting at long-forgotten petrified victims without relying on delicate statue elements.

✨ Key Features

  • Eight-legged reptilian body with heavy, grounded anatomy
  • Crystalline dorsal spines integrated into the silhouette
  • Open-jawed snarl with detailed fangs and scaled textures
  • Rock-climbing pose for dynamic but stable composition
  • Rugged stone base suitable for mountain or Underdark settings
  • Engineered for 3D print durability and tabletop resilience

šŸŽØ Great for Painting

Perfect for layered reptilian blends: deep emeralds, moss greens, or desaturated stone-toned scales. The dorsal spines offer strong contrast opportunities with bone, ivory, or crystalline drybrush effects. The eyes are ideal for bright yellow or toxic green glow accents to emphasize the petrifying gaze. Excellent miniature for texture-heavy washes and controlled edge highlights.

šŸ“ Scale & Compatibility

Scaled for standard tabletop RPG play including Dungeons & Dragons. Ideal as a wilderness boss encounter, Underdark guardian, dungeon apex predator, or environmental hazard creature guarding ancient ruins.

It does not roar to intimidate.
It does not chase to exhaust.

A Basilisk waits —
and when you meet its eyes, it is already too late.
