Transform your aquarium or terrarium with this detailed "Fantasy Rock Fortress". This model is designed as a functional hardscape piece, featuring multiple levels, winding stairs, platforms, and several cave openings that provide excellent hiding spots and swim-throughs for your fish, shrimp, or reptiles. While designed for aquascaping, its craggy, ruin-like appearance also makes it a great piece of terrain for tabletop wargaming or fantasy dioramas. The model in the photos was printed in grey PLA to simulate dark slate rock, but it looks fantastic in matte black or brown filaments as well.

Print Settings:

• Material: PLA or PETG are recommended.
  • Aquarium Note: While PLA works for many aquarists, PETG is generally considered more durable for long-term submersion in water.
• Supports: Required. Tree/Organic supports are highly recommended as they are generally easier to remove from the irregular rock textures than standard grid supports. Pay close attention to supporting the floating stair sections.
• Infill: 5-15% gyroid or grid is sufficient strength but higher is needed for a non floating design, easy fix is to glue rocks under.
• Layer Height: 0.16mm is perfect for a good detail.
