Description
A magnetic paddle shifter upgrade designed for the MOZA ES Lite / ESX steering wheel!
- This part is designed based on the original steering wheel dimensions, allowing it to fit tightly and cleanly against the ES contact surface.
- The model is easy to print, and it uses screws for mounting — making it more secure while avoiding annoying adhesive residue.
- Storage holes for the original screws are also included.
The magnets are left exposed so they can be easily replaced, meaning there’s no need to pause the print to insert magnets midway(80℃ can demagnetize ordinary magnets).
About Trigger force:
As the configuration in BOM, the trigger force should be around 11 N (Reportedly 15 N for modern F1).
This is what I believe to be the best solution, given the overall balance of cost, feel, and performance.
Weaker / thinner /smaller diameter magnets will reduce trigger force.
In other words, you can adjust the trigger force by selecting a different magnet thickness.
BOM:
| Item | Specification | Quantity |
| Round-head Screw | M3 × 30 mm | 4 |
| N52 Cylindrical Magnet | Ø15 mm × 5 mm | 2 |
Note: N52 indicates the magnet strength grade. Most unmarked magnets on the market are typically N35 or lower.
Updates:
20260417:gen5 → gen12! The trigger force has been adjusted and is now significantly greater than in the original model. The shape has been refined for a more accurate fit. The print parameters have been optimized. I’ve added a mark on the back. When the product is used for commercial purposes, the buyer can identify the original designer. The logo does not affect print quality and is completely invisible after installed.
Planned Updates:
- Parametric version.
Adjustable magnetic strength.
