Description

Version 3 available here :
Update : I added the money clip
There is now a version with and without money clip in the back.
This is the second version of my cascade card wallet, featuring a similar appearance but thoroughly revamped.
Filaments used in the pictures : Link
- FormFutura Refill PETG Light Grey
- FormFutura Refill PETG Iron Grey
Here are the key updates:
- The new version can accommodate 6 cards, compared to 5 in the previous iteration.
- The popup mechanism is now easier to detach from the printer, eliminating the need for holes in the back to crack open the mechanism.
- The retention mechanism has been entirely redesigned to secure cards from the top rather than the side. This ensures more secure card placement, and the wallet is compatible with any number of cards, up to 6.
This model still demands a highly precise printer, as the internal mechanism is separated from the wall by a mere 0.2 mm.
I have not yet designed a money clip for the back, but it will be included in a future update.
Printing :
- Nozzle size : 0.4 mm
- Layer height : 0.2 mm
- PLA and PETG both work
- No support needed
- The STL is already oriented, the model is printed upright
Freeing the mechanism :
Force on the slider to crack it open :

If it is not enough, you can push the pivot on the back :

Enjoy :)
